"Carpe diem " - let's seize the day with Kavya

 Mar Theophilus was really energetic, colourful and vibrant during the days of March 29,30 and 31.Three days of joy, vigour and power-packed performances.  All these were dedicated for the arts day and literary fest organised by the 64th college union Ekayana.  29 was dedicated for the literary fest under the title "Thamapathra". Today, we had an effective, powerful session by Maya ma'am. In between the class the topic Mother Goddess surfaced and Uthara popped a question of contemporary relevance.There began the scenario of discourse,debate and what not.For some of us the tag of goddess  to a lady is just a construct which has some hidden agenda. The practice of attributing honour and pride to women's body has deeper connotations with this idea and the idea of tagging the prefix mother to a country. Actually, History is his story and it has subverted and suppressed many voices. Gayathri had a strong argument with Subash.It was a healthy debate session. They spoke on subjectivity and this notion.The topic has foraged into umpteen concerns regarding women security, harrasment, and the way of responding such henious acts. 

 Another vibrant day as we had our union inauguration. Reached college a bit early .Gayathri and I were the emcees for the union inauguration. Dr Rajan Varghese, the Member secretary,Kerala State Higher Education Council inaugurated our union. He is a renowned personality who enlightened us with his words and charisma. The arts club was inaugurated by none other than Nayana,the budding artist in the film and television industry. She rocked the stage with a power packed performance. The best part was the pooja dance performed soulfully by our dear friends in a short notice. Gayathri and I were really worried about the pooja dance we were the coordinators.They had to rush as the formal function ended before the scheduled time. Our dear Uthara despite her health conditions did their make up. Hats off to her.I thank all my classmates who helped them to get ready on time.That dance was indeed a sight to watch. After that the most awaited optional wise competition "Drishyam" began....

 Today was really memorable that we had two excitements. Actually,we were going to surprise the entire college with a flash mob for revealing the name of our college union. It was meant for a surprise but the fact is that everyone was aware of it😂. We had an ice-breaking session by our seniors.Actually,the most awaited day;our Freshers day. It was really vibrant as its title itself suggest it- "GLUCOSE". They welcomed us by giving glucose. A thoughtful and vibrant session. RJ Unni was the chief guest of the occasion. A well known figure to all of us as we are familiarwith his mellifluous voice through that iconic program 'Hello my dear wrong number'. He spoke about some of his wonderful and delighted experience from the college.It cheered the whole lot of students in the auditorium and we were pumped for the next interactive session named "Chakkapazham" with our seniors.  Today,we had our first union meeting.Reached college with all enthusiasms.First hour was all about culture and its attributes taken by Maya ma'am.Some of our friends took their seminar presentations.Moreover it was World Water Day  and mam shared a beautiful insight regarding the most essential natural resource water,and its usage.After that Benedict sir continued his class on Microteaching skills and briefed on Probing and Redirection.After that optionals were completely dedicated for micro teaching and its documentation. Last hour union members and teachers assembled together for our first union meeting shared our action plan.Well a forage into the prospective days.That time our classmates were busy shooting for the dubsmash competition announced by the College Union.

Finally, senior's commission has over.Till noon we had their classes.We could learn a lot from them ;elicitation,class room management,teaching methods and techniques.After that we were really happy as we're served hot and sweet payasam by our Benedict sir.That was a kind of appreciation for those who qualified the KTET exam and a token of gratitude to the first year students for supporting the seniors in their external exam. After noon session was taken by Maya ma'am.We, English students started the seminar presentations.It was very informative and quite interesting.It's quite refreshing that the cloud has started to spray her cool drops.Really a wonderful day as we're blissed with the heavenly drops.

 Senior's commission has started.Hence reached college a bit early,as we're supposed to be present as seniors were having their commission.Actually, we were back to our school days as we,re supposed to be their students. Again back to those most vibrant and enthusiastic days as a highschooler who always have an inquisitive eyes and curiosity.Seniors did their part exceptionally well.There are our real models because they completed their sessions confidently. Afternoon sessions were really vibrant as we had our dear Maya ma'am.She took an initiative to pull out the insecurities and complexes we had as we have given a list of our insecurities and weaknesses.Suddenly Fathima from natural science started crying and shared her personal experience as she was treated badly during her post graduation days.
