"Carpe diem " - let's seize the day with Kavya

 Mar Theophilus was really energetic, colourful and vibrant during the days of March 29,30 and 31.Three days of joy, vigour and power-packed performances.  All these were dedicated for the arts day and literary fest organised by the 64th college union Ekayana.  29 was dedicated for the literary fest under the title "Thamapathra". All the students from the first and second year was evenly distributed under five groups which was named after malayalam poetic metres :     1. Panchachamaram                                                                                                                                           2. Pushpithagraha                                                                                                                                                3. Praharshini                                                                                                                                                    4. Pallavi I was in the first group. A

Today, we had an effective, powerful session by Maya ma'am. In between the class the topic Mother Goddess surfaced and Uthara popped a question of contemporary relevance.There began the scenario of discourse,debate and what not.For some of us the tag of goddess  to a lady is just a construct which has some hidden agenda. The practice of attributing honour and pride to women's body has deeper connotations with this idea and the idea of tagging the prefix mother to a country. Actually, History is his story and it has subverted and suppressed many voices. Gayathri had a strong argument with Subash.It was a healthy debate session. They spoke on subjectivity and this notion.The topic has foraged into umpteen concerns regarding women security, harrasment, and the way of responding such henious acts. 

 Another vibrant day as we had our union inauguration. Reached college a bit early .Gayathri and I were the emcees for the union inauguration. Dr Rajan Varghese, the Member secretary,Kerala State Higher Education Council inaugurated our union. He is a renowned personality who enlightened us with his words and charisma. The arts club was inaugurated by none other than Nayana,the budding artist in the film and television industry. She rocked the stage with a power packed performance. The best part was the pooja dance performed soulfully by our dear friends in a short notice. Gayathri and I were really worried about the pooja dance we were the coordinators.They had to rush as the formal function ended before the scheduled time. Our dear Uthara despite her health conditions did their make up. Hats off to her.I thank all my classmates who helped them to get ready on time.That dance was indeed a sight to watch. After that the most awaited optional wise competition "Drishyam" began.

 Today was really memorable that we had two excitements. Actually,we were going to surprise the entire college with a flash mob for revealing the name of our college union. It was meant for a surprise but the fact is that everyone was aware of it😂. We had an ice-breaking session by our seniors.Actually,the most awaited day;our Freshers day. It was really vibrant as its title itself suggest it- "GLUCOSE". They welcomed us by giving glucose. A thoughtful and vibrant session. RJ Unni was the chief guest of the occasion. A well known figure to all of us as we are familiarwith his mellifluous voice through that iconic program 'Hello my dear wrong number'. He spoke about some of his wonderful and delighted experience from the college.It cheered the whole lot of students in the auditorium and we were pumped for the next interactive session named "Chakkapazham" with our seniors.  Today,we had our first union meeting.Reached college with all enthusiasms.First hour was all about culture and its attributes taken by Maya ma'am.Some of our friends took their seminar presentations.Moreover it was World Water Day  and mam shared a beautiful insight regarding the most essential natural resource water,and its usage.After that Benedict sir continued his class on Microteaching skills and briefed on Probing and Redirection.After that optionals were completely dedicated for micro teaching and its documentation. Last hour union members and teachers assembled together for our first union meeting shared our action plan.Well a forage into the prospective days.That time our classmates were busy shooting for the dubsmash competition announced by the College Union.

Finally, senior's commission has over.Till noon we had their classes.We could learn a lot from them ;elicitation,class room management,teaching methods and techniques.After that we were really happy as we're served hot and sweet payasam by our Benedict sir.That was a kind of appreciation for those who qualified the KTET exam and a token of gratitude to the first year students for supporting the seniors in their external exam. After noon session was taken by Maya ma'am.We, English students started the seminar presentations.It was very informative and quite interesting.It's quite refreshing that the cloud has started to spray her cool drops.Really a wonderful day as we're blissed with the heavenly drops.

 Senior's commission has started.Hence reached college a bit early,as we're supposed to be present as seniors were having their commission.Actually, we were back to our school days as we,re supposed to be their students. Again back to those most vibrant and enthusiastic days as a highschooler who always have an inquisitive eyes and curiosity.Seniors did their part exceptionally well.There are our real models because they completed their sessions confidently. Afternoon sessions were really vibrant as we had our dear Maya ma'am.She took an initiative to pull out the insecurities and complexes we had as we have given a list of our insecurities and weaknesses.Suddenly Fathima from natural science started crying and shared her personal experience as she was treated badly during her post graduation days. Maya ma'am consoled her.These kind sessions would definetly make us confident enough to speak in public.Thanks to ma'am. Last hour was taken by Gibi ma'am.It was all

 A little more excited, tensed and blissed day. After schooling,  back to my real fully active character. Now I am really vibrant. Actually I could sense it. Now I am part of the college union. Actually Arts Club Secretary of 65th college union. We,21 union members took our oath under the guidance of our Principal Dr. K Y Benedict sir. Mr. Subin Jith is our chairman. Mr. Nikhil D is our general secretary and Miss. Aleena Joseph holds the role of chairperson. It was really an exhilarating moment. Yes, we are now indulged into a great responsibility. It`s not an easy task. But we will try our best to make the union successful.    

These two days were really exceptional. Had our school induction program. After 12th, back to school with great enthusiasm. Actually very thrilled. A little bit confused, prejudiced and great excitement, we 13 students (actually student teachers) entered there. Sarvodaya Vidhyalaya is a real embodiment of education. The faculties, infrastructure, administration are really meritorious. School is situated in a vast campus which is highly hygienic and well kept. Well organised garden is also there. So the atmosphere is warm welcoming. Principal James sir and vice principal Terin ma'am welcomed us. Actually, they did call us 'teachers '. It was a nice experience that for the first time, being called as teachers. First day, March 9;were alloted for exam invigilation. Students called us teachers with  high respect. Really proud moment.  Today was the day of election.After my schooling,participated in an election.Actually, a little bit tensed but my friends encouraged a lot.Putting and end to our curiosity the result has announced.Surprisingly, me and my dear friend Gayathri have won.That was really a happy moment for us. Gayathri,Jis and I were selected from our class.My hearty thanks to all my friends who supported us.After that, we had a meeting for selecting College Union members.Hence,the 65th College Union was selected , Subinjith as Chairman,Nikhil as General Secretary and Aleena as Vice Chairperson. I was selected as the Arts Club Secretary. On that evening, Benedict sir introduced the 65th College Union to the whole campus.

Started the day blissfully with the yoga session. It accentuated our energy level and made us more lively and active. Today we got a novel experience of being high school students for one more time. We were all prepped up for the demo classes taken by our seniors. They introduced us all the core teaching skills and and it was a great interactive session. We learned a lot of things from them. After that Maya mam took the class on Humanism. As we were drained and drousy after the demo session mam made the class more lively by giving us the task of repeating the hardest tongue twisters and it was fun 😂. After that physical science, maths and  natural science optionals organised a wonderful program "RAMAFI" as a part of science day celebration. There was an  intersting quiz competition conducted by the Maths department, On the spot story telling competition organised by physical science department and an enthusiastic quiz competition conducted by natural science department.Two m

 Today was really quite energetic and enthusiastic as we,Team Niyuktha has conducted our first assembly.Benedict sir inaugurated our English association. With the strong blessings and helps from our teachers we successfully conducted our assembly. Meekha ma'am helped a lot.We wore Kerala saree .Each one did their part well. It was my duty to deliver the thought of the day. I took this as a great oppurtunity and confidently spoke on happiness.Actually, today was a great day of happiness for me because successfully completed one of my microteaching skills; explaining a lesson.I took the topic Sentences as I'm very much fond of grammar. After all, the day was entirely vibrant.
